Santa Ana Winds Won’t Wait—Neither Do We
In late October 2006, a freak Santa Ana windstorm roared through Fairmont Hill with gusts hitting 50 mph—dry leaves swirling like dust devils, gates slamming, and half-installed fence panels tipping like dominoes. Ricky Morales was mid-install for a backyard remodel near Yorba Linda High School when the storm hit. With exposed footings and loose materials scattered across the site, the homeowner faced potential damage, costly delays, and safety hazards for kids walking home from school just blocks away.
We mobilized within two hours—Ricky himself drove our flatbed from Imperial Highway, secured every panel with wind braces and ground stakes rated for 60-mph gusts, and re-leveled the entire layout before sunset. Our crew stayed until every post was plumb and every gate latch clicked shut. The homeowner avoided project delays, kept the site safe for neighbors, and the fence held firm through the rest of the windy season.
They showed up fast, fixed everything in one afternoon, and I didn’t lose a single day of work on my remodel.
